Climbing Mountains
Edited by Paula Torres-Silva
Published by Celandor Books 2011 An anthology of stories of addiction and recovery collected from people in Nottingham. These are all unique journeys - some have a long way to go, others have reached their destination, but all have been through life changing experiences.
"This is a remarkable book full of moving and inspiring accounts of the journeys these writers have made out of addiction. Thought provoking, honest and sometimes heart breaking, Climbing Mountains is an impressive achievement." Nicola Monaghan - author of The Killing Jar
Climbing Mountains includes a foreword from local author Jon McGregor. Jon McGregor is the author of the critically acclaimed If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things and So Many Ways To Begin. He is the winner of the Betty Trask Prize and the Somerset Maugham Award, and has twice been longlisted for the Man Booker Prize. He was born in Bermuda in 1976. He grew up in Norfolk and now lives in Nottingham. Even the Dogs is his third novel. |
